It is required that you get a Kentucky driver’s license within 30 days of establishing residence.  Proof of insurance is required.

A 16 or 17 year old child must have parent’s signature plus birth certificate, social security card and school enrollment certificate in order to take the driver’s test.  An 18 year old does not need his/her parent’s signature, but they still need a birth certificate and a social security card.

The written test is given between 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. on Fridays.  Please register by 10:30.  The road test is given by appointment only 6 months after passing the written test unless you are 21 years old or older then it is 30 days.
