It is required that you get a Kentucky driver’s license
within
30 days of establishing residence. Proof of insurance is
required.
A
16 or 17 year old child must have parent’s signature plus birth
certificate, social security card and school enrollment certificate in
order to take the driver’s test. An 18 year old does not need
his/her parent’s signature, but they still need a birth certificate and
a social security card.
The written test is given between
8:30 and 10:45 a.m. on Fridays. Please register by
10:30.
The road test is given by appointment only 6 months after passing the
written test unless you are 21 years old or older then it is 30 days.
