| Festival On The Square |
 | For
over 40 years, families have enjoyed the beautiful setting of downtown
Franklin as they have attended the Festival on the Square and Southern
Kentucky Region AACA Antique Car Show. We invite you to join us once
again on Saturday, September 20th, 2008.

| Ongoing Programs |
Ambassadors - The
Ambassadors are the welcoming committee for the
Chamber. They
are Jim Clark, Bob Allen, Tom Prow, Edie Simpson, Don Kessler, Ronnie
Ferguson, and Bill Austin.
| Leadership
Franklin-Simpson - The Chamber of Commerce and Simpson
County Extension Service joined
together to form Leadership Franklin-Simpson. It is an
educational program designed to familiarize participants with the
leadership opportunities, needs, problems and resources in our
community. The class includes five day-long studies on topics
such as Agriculture, Education, Health, Government, and Industry
&
Small Business.
| Our
Pride Makes Progress - This Committee was developed as a
result of the 2003 visioning
process. The appearance of our community was a recurring
theme
during the community input meetings. This goal of the
committee
is to make Franklin-Simpson a more beautiful place to live and
work. | Work
Ethic Seal Program - The Work Ethic Seal Program is
offered to all high school
seniors. Seniors who complete the program and meet all the
criteria are eligible for a scholarship and distinguish themselves as
individuals with a demonstrated work ethic. |

Annual
Meeting - Every year the Chamber members gather to elect
new board members and to
witness the passing of the gavel from the current Board President to
the incoming President. The Chamber also recognizes
individuals and businesses for their contributions to the community
during the previous year.
| Eye
Openers
This monthly event is held from 7 -9 a.m. on the first Tuesday of
every month. The Eye Openers are hosted by a
different Chamber Member each time. The host opens their
business for an hour of networking and fellowship for Chamber Members. | Legislative
Breakfast - The Legislative Breakfast, held in the Spring
each year, is one of the
most popular events hosted by the Chamber. State legislators
are given the opportunity to update their Constituents on current
government issues. | Spring
Fling - Every Spring, Our Pride Makes Progress committee
sells geraniums (the
official flower of Franklin and Simpson County) to help raise money for
the Red Geranium Award. It is awarded to people that
demonstrate
pride in their community by maintaining a beautiful yard. |

| Ribbon
Cuttings /
Ground Breakings - The Chamber celebrates new business,
grand openings, and expansions
with a Ribbon Cutting.
There are several Ribbon Cuttings held every month. Chamber
members
along with city and county officials are on hand to help celebrate.
The
Franklin-Simpson Chamber of Commerce extends a hearty Welcome
to the following businesses who have recently relocated, expanded,
started up or added additional products or services in the area: |
